§ 01 · Materials

Stainless grades used in the EAG catalogue.

1.4301 · AISI 304

Standard austenitic stainless. 18% Cr / 8% Ni. Continuous service to ~750 °C, intermittent to ~870 °C. Used in most EAG flex pipes.

1.4541 · AISI 321

Titanium-stabilised austenitic. Same Cr/Ni base as 1.4301 with ~0.4% Ti to bind free carbon. Prevents chromium-carbide precipitation at welds. Continuous to ~870 °C. Specified for high-temp service near the manifold or after a turbocharger.

1.4828 · AISI 309

Heat-resistant austenitic stainless. Higher Cr (~20%) for sustained service at elevated temperature. Specified for selected exhaust and substrate applications.
